That said, I'll probably sell my Waterstone Sandman bass now. It's a great bass, but with a short scale eastwood Sandman inbound I'm not likely to ever touch it again.

The funny thing is you could play literally thousands of rock songs on this bass. It would be a fun conversation piece for a cover gig.

Samesies. Price isn’t bad, it looks cool AF…. I just don’t have any practical use for it. I loved Morphine and Mark’s minimalist approach.

Does anybody have a clue what bass that Mark Sandman used to play (R.I.P.). From what I understand he started with a 4 string bass and then removed 2 strings to make his slide bass, although I may be mistaken.

Can someone please tell me what the 4 string was that he started with?(if that is the case)

Should be tuned in a 5th, not E and A as specified. Playing 4ths with a slide won't sound very good. Might need to get a different size string for the B.

It says it's just a mock-up but they'll have stock in a few days.

Man, gotta hand it to Eastwood for offering instruments like this, and at these prices. I had a microtonal guitar they sold based in a Univox/Mosrite body, inspired by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. I mean, where else can you get something like this stuff and have it be affordable? And mine at least was really quite a good build quality, solid.

I had a 1 string bass !!!
It had a mop handle neck and a washtub body.
My mom was mad as hell when she found out I punched holes in her washtub.
But my jugband was awesome!
