Family Forum?

haha

Come on like majority of people here are over 16 and anyone under 16 here has heard tons of cuss words, seen porn, and knows more about sex than you'd think. I never understood why this place is so strict.

Yeah maybe things have changed since 2001, but I never remember this being a family forum. How many young kids play bass so seriously that they idle on talkbass? If they do exist, then surely they're mature enough to know about most things we're talking about on here. Maybe I just believe that it's wrong to keep knowledge from people.

And is it this forum where you sign an agreement that you're over 13 before you join?

Warning? Why? When I used to post here alot I frequently talked to the youngest member of the board on AIM (he was 13 at the time, I think I was 14) and he sounded just as dirty as my friends and I when we joke around NOW (and im 16 now). I want a real explanation not just a "you got a warning" or a "this is a family forum". Since when has it said Talkbass: A Family Forum? And I don't understand why the guy that posts that picture doesn't have anything said to when I simply say what I said and get a "warning". This certainly isn't the way a family forum would conduct it's moderating, now is it?

Even thought I'm not a mod, I know this routine. To answer your question, it's in the rules. The same rules that paul made and the same rules you agreed to on joining Talkbass.

(Hehe.)
