Eb-3 Bass, can someone help me with serial number?

Interesting bass. However, that's not an EB-3 but one of the SB 350/450 series models - depending on the scale length - pretty seriously modified. These were not introduced until late '72. More on them can be found here:

I was thinking that, but it must have some serious filling work going on to be able to delete the entire control plate assy. Could a '70s EB-3 be modded to similar specs? The control layout is broadly the same, albeit with the output jack deleted and the neck mudbucker route filled or at least shrunk down a bit.

Quite ironic seeing an all American bass draped in a Union flag.
