Judging from the picture, that is one of the ultra rare, three piece, pine, jazz bodies that Leo himself made upon his return to the Fender Factory in Fullerton, for his summer job in 1975. He also hand drew three all maple necks like this one himself out of one tree trunk. Congratulations, that's a real beauty. Would you take a hundred bucks for it? Apr-23-13

How ironic. According to George Fullerton in his book "George & Leo", they originally tried to make the first Precision out of pine. However, no matter what they did to it, it was too soft of a wood.

Only a serious (and rich) Jaco nut will be interested in that bass, and the seller's response to the questions (is he the only person left alive who doesn't know Leo left Fender for good in the late '60s, and that he NEVER worked the assembly line?) will alert anyone that he's selling pixie dust.

I *do* get a bit phlegmy when I drink milk.

For those of you who weren't aware, Phlegmy Kilminster played this bass for a while, during his stint in British Parliament, and just before he formed Meterhead in 1999. Meterhead was a Meters tribute band that specialized in reggae/fusion covers of Margaret Thatcher speeches.

I hope this clears things up a bit.

I just reported the new listing too. I don't live far from Chino Hills. I'd love to see this Jaco Bass. Hell, maybe Jaco's death was a hoax and this guy even has Jaco himself stashed up in his house, or music school, or whatever. Shame on this bottom feeding low life.

That bass "solo" on his page is just incredib..........ly bad. I don't think he'll be recruiting any students to go to his school from listening to that recording, lol. Where's a Picard facepalm when you need one?!
