EBAY JACO bass only $45K PLUS shipping

I *maaaaaaaaaaay* have sent the seller a message with a few tongue-in-cheek and BS details:smug::

"Would you have a picture of the heel of the neck? Pat Metheny told me that Jaco inscribed all of his bass necks with a knife. That alone would be worth $45k. And that would also show the neck manufacture date along with the manufacturer. Jaco could get that high 'E' note to just scream on the fretboard over-the-body extension!"

And they may have replied:

"We brought Pat to Houston during the early 80's too. Mark Egan was with him. Oh yes, Pat, Jaco and my friend whom introduced me to Jaco all when to U of F together. Pat can contact Melton or Mike to verify my story. Tell Pat hello. As for the other request, when you show me that 45k is in your bank account then we can about showing the bass. Let me know how that goes. Okay?"

I'm genuinely interested...
Pat Metheny went to the University of Miami, not U of F. Another fail.

Funny stuff. Leo was out of Fender in 1965. he started with Musicman in 1971 as a silent partner when the company was known as Trisonics. His no compete clause with CBS expired in 1975 when he was named President of Musicman. Sad thing is someone dropped the $45g's as it is sold now..... One born every minute
