I don't have a problem paying $45,000 for a dubious J bass with a HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE pedigree, but I draw the line at having to pay for shipping. Isn't that just like eBay sellers - they always seem to throw you a good deal then GOUGE you over shipping. ;)

You misinform know-it-alls will always look for things to do, because you haven't and are not doing positive things with your lives. Therefore you seek to bring others into your misery. "Many are called, but few are chosen." Also for you and those doubting-Thomas' wanting to sabotage our efforts to supply a bit history to some desirous individual or organization, you should know this... I am a bass player of many years who has recorded and worked with many major artists. You probably listen to my playing each day. I have been by Ken Burns as a part of a compilation of several jazz and blues artist. I am currently endorsed for several major companies, I sit on committees for the Arts and contribute annually. Not only do I know many Fender personnel, but I live minutes away from the factory. In fact, I am preparing to develop a bass. I have probably influenced more people to become good musicians than 'all of you' combined. I have a great life! Maybe that's why I do have the time to look for something negative with people who are doing positive things. Blog this to all your unfortunate souls out there. By the way, "milk creates mucus".

This is why he is selling the bass.

His "preferred artist" pricing only knocks 50% off the cost of the $25,000 cables. His newly-found addiction/psychosis with audiophilia must be fed...

Don't get me wrong though, good power cables ARE important. After all, you don't want them getting fried to a surge and you don't want them to short and mess a potentially good gig. But those ******** claims about how it improves tone are baffling... I can see how a good cable can improve performance of analogue gear, but it is nothing groundbreaking. This one guy says it improved performance of his ****ing axe-fx... :/ I have no faith in humanity.

No **** genius, you need a cable to use your amp. Now that's some groundbreaking finding. This guy for the president.

I challenged his statement of Leo Fender being at Fender in 1975 and probably making the bass himself. We all know Leo sold to CBS in 1965. I have the "George and Leo" book and it goes into the origins of Fender Music and nowhere does it mention that Leo actually made any instruments. Haven't heard from the guy yet.
