Thank you, thank you, thank you for TB classifieds... eBay is my last resort, only when I just can't move an item here, Craigslist and others... The fees are enough to scare not to mention stories like this.
But as a buyer it should make you feel more confident... You can BS your way to a full refund, great.
Im not going to say I like being ripped off... but overall I with as much as I have ssaved over the years, I can overlook the fact that I got ripped off about $600 over several transactions on ebay since 2000. $450 of it was in one transaction before buyeres were protected. $70 was a woman who got me to send her a money order, and then just minor things here and there. I have saved this on one bass, actually several individual basses. I got a jack read custom (lane poors) off ebay for $1000, I got a flea bass (lane poor) for $750, and a zon lightwave for $750.... plus many many many more. I could flip any one of those for close to double but they are keepers.
