Recently a friend and I began thining about formed a little project band at school, him on drums/keyboard and me on guitar/bass. Part of this project is that we would play the crappiest instruments we could find, my mate is playing his $0 drum kit that is literally held together by duct tape and wishes. I have been playing on my old Les paul junior, and while this is a great guitar but its not rally got the sound I want, a heavily distorted hollow body sound to be exact.
I was thinking of using one of these or these. I know they will sound like absolute crap but thats kinda the whole point, i was just wondering if there is anything i should know (warnings and such) about using incredible cheap and crappy pickups.
