Ebay Scammer gets her due!

Oh. Well, that's obviously alright then. :rollno:

Dont put words in my mouth. All I'm saying is that her children are not currently influenced by her, and her serving a prison sentence could give her a big enough slap in the face to make her realize what she did was screwed up, and clean up her act. Taking her children away wont be of any help here.

Again, dont put words in my mouth. She was right to fine her 5k. She wasnt right making the assumption openly on national TV that the woman takes bad care of her kid, or commits tax evasion, and I personally think thats much worse than scamming people for 475 bucks.

You're one close minded fellow...

So she can serve a prison sentence, and her kids sort of wait for her at home until she gets back?

She has a husband remember? Or was I the only one actually listening to the words that were said? Probably has parents too, or a sister or something. Besides I thought you were all for taking her children away from her so what do you care anyway?

The woman's a scum bag. Judge Judy said so. Good call. Stop getting bogged down with details.

morf, you sound like you're a decent guy to me who cares about right and wrong. At one time I trusted the legal and justice systems to take care of this sort of stuff for us - now I can see everyday decent folks getting let down because people get away with selfish, anti-social immoral behaviour and nobody seems to be able to protect the majority of us from it.

Please forgive me if I don't care too much when I see the boot on the other foot just for one tiny little example. Just imagine how much better the world would be if people like this were sent a clear message that the rest of us have had it with this sort of crap and now they're going to have to answer for it. If only...

Hey, I'm the first to agree here. Legal systems, and I'm talking all the way around be it UK, France, the US, whatever, make irrational, despicable decisions everyday, I'm the first to agree to that. I agree about looking the other way sometimes and letting someone who screwed up get what they deserve. However, we're talking about taking kids away from their mother here. This isnt just a slap on the wrist.

While she may not be fit as a mother, she may also be a very good mother, we just dont know that. When I argue about all this, its the kids that come to mind first. This is IMHO just not a decision one can make without looking into the facts, all the facts.

I'm not too sure see. Personally, if I'm a scammer and I see this, I'd just go "screw this, the law is ****ed up, how do you expect me not to screw people over and make easy money when I could lose my kids for any little reason? I'm not gonna live my life with the fear that the legal system is gonna come busting my door open and take my kids because of little things... Might as well rob a bank"

Gotta love her Link Removed. (replace the asterisks in the URL with the f-word. Classy lady!)

Im 25, 3 kids, been married almost 6 years I am currently seperated and since he hasn't been home in a couple nights it looks like Im going to be currently divorced. I live in Caro a small little town where nothing ever happens except occasionally one of the mental patients from the hospital or whatever the hell they call it escapes.

What do you want to bet that their home is mobile but their car isn't?

But that's a lot of assuming to think that that would apply universally.

Here's the thing, Judge Judy did express her opinion as to the character of the scammer. She didn't overstep her bounds by ordering any kind of criminal charge or anything like that. She just stated that she thinks a woman that would pull that sort of scam would likely be a bad example for her children.

Yeah, and a judge IMHO should be impartial and represent the law. If you represent the law, you dont give personal opinions period. That's what it means to be impartial.

My assumptions do not apply to everyone, fair enough. They apply to me, I'm giving a bit too much credit to people there ;)
