I had to double take. That tuner or sustainer or whatever on your headstock makes it look like a six string!

I’m late to the party on this. Fun question!
I’ve mostly been using position 2 on my new 5 string. I’ve been playing jazz in a combo and that setting works great with treble rolled back a bit and (maybe) a slight boost to bass and mids. I’ve been more focused on getting used to the extra string so haven’t spent as much time experimenting with tone because it is fitting in so well.
I also need to post pics when I get a chance. But maybe I’ll wait until I get a new pickguard for my great new bass!
Glad I’m not alone . I was beginning to think that I was the only one enjoying 2nd gear. Yes get that pg and take come pics.
Mike Quick has the template for the 5 string. I’ve been trying to contact him about getting a 4 string made but he doesn’t respond to emails.
Basically the same for me. 1 gets a lot of use and 2 & 4 are great. Haven't used a lot of 5 or 3 but someone posted above that 3 is better with the mids boosted so I'll check that out. None of the sounds are bad!
I thought I saw on his Reverb page that he is moving? So nothing was available

I think you’re going to like them. I got the Supers. Once you clean them up real good they’re perfect.
They’re the cobalts. I don’t think they call them cobalts anymore. They rebranded them.

So... as I mentioned earlier I may go down to one bass...due to my Special being so special, I’ve put my Old Smoothie in the closet with my P Bass and both are on a playing ban! 
This is a test (an easy one I think..) to show that I can get by with just the Special and the occasional use of foam under the strings. If all goes well I’ll sell the other two as my wife and I could do with some extra cash flow. The 66 P Bass is in near mint condition, so it’s a fair few extra dollars we’re talking here...
With just one bass kicking around it looks like the Cobalt flats may be back on the Special sometime in the next few weeks
