FWIW, I also like a "lighter" string. I have TI jazz rounds on a Warwick Streamer, and absolutely love them. I generally buy strings in the lightest gauge I can get.
They are a hex core, so not as loose feeling as round core strings such as Sunbeams. Slightly less stiff feeling than Dunlop super-brites or similar string. Also, I've gone through about 4 sets since I posted the review. The quality is very good set to set. Easily comparable to DRs, and LaBellas. Much better than Dunlops IMO.How are they tension/stiffness wise....i play alot and hands are getting "old". I usually need more flexible roundcore's. I can get by with ML Lo-Riders, but that's about as stiff as i can go.

They’re are the most flexible I’ve ever felt.
More so than lo riders. Comparable To hi beams. Maybe even more than those
Probably too flexible for some people.
Also, the longest lasting strings I’ve ever used.
I played DRs for 25 years.
The foundations made me switch
Similar to Super Brights? Which I love the feel of, they just seem to lack a little on the bottom.

I would say that they closely resemble hi beams.
They’re not quite as fat sounding as Fat beams ( my choice in more recent years) but they’re close enough for me

It would be for pickup select. Three way switch would split the humbucker on two different singles or the full humbucker.
The upside-down headstock would be a deal-breaker for me, but otherwise it's a cool idea. I thought the extra knob might be a piezo control.
Anyone here own more than one Stingray5 Special?
I like mine so much I want another one. Maybe I should go different woods & finish & get the HH .Same finish and woods and just get the HH is always an option too.

Only the 1 SR5 Special for me, but I do have multiple SR4 Specials so I would say go for it. I went for different finishes as well as different fretboards for some variation (1 fretless H maple fb, 1 fretted HH maple fb, 1 fretted H rosewood fb). Also used to have a fretted HH with ebony fb but sold it.
I have 2 5's HH and H but i definetly prefer the single and lighter H, i'm in the process of moving those 2 to get a H in the right finish.
