EBMM StingRay Special Club

Can you elaboate on the 'Dartify' concept? A assume it's a Joe Dart reference, but I don't know what he does to his pickups.

sure. He puts strips of gaffers tape over the pole pieces on his signature model. There’s a video with Corey Wong that shows how it’s done. Prevents that clicking noise when the string hits the pick up.

I do this on my P bass for the E and A strings as well when I'm pick playing or digging in for a song.

Thought I'd change out my pick guard from the stock white pearl to black for a change of pace so ordered one from EBMM. I put it on yesterday and think it is a nice match to the ebony fretboard. This Tectonic Blue Sparkle is a bit of a chameleon. It looks pretty subdued and dull here in this photo but shed some sun or a spotlight on it and explodes into a glimmering flash of bright vibrant cobalt blue. Stunning!!!

Absolutely yes! That looks awesome. Of course you onow my feelings on it. The white pearl is cool but the whole cosmetics of the bass match ideally with a black pg.

Metron is yours a 4 or a 5 Tectonic Blue? I have a five and have been toying with the same idea. Maybe even the black hardware to match but seems like a bigger investment.

Ya, I was also thinking black hardware on the Tectonic Blue Sparkle with the black pick guard might look really good. I may just do that someday but will wait for metron to do first to see what it looks like and decide if I want to go through that expense.

Ha! It's the first fretless of many tried that I've bonded with. Sounds great, especially in single-coil mode, and I can play it in tune, mostly. It's an EBMM Sterling 5H and a previous owner had the good sense to install hipshot tuners, which reduced the weight by 5oz or and eliminated neck dive that I've experienced with other Sterling 5s.

Well if you ever want to sell it... holla at me!
