Can you elaboate on the 'Dartify' concept? A assume it's a Joe Dart reference, but I don't know what he does to his pickups.
sure. He puts strips of gaffers tape over the pole pieces on his signature model. There’s a video with Corey Wong that shows how it’s done. Prevents that clicking noise when the string hits the pick up.
I was thinking the same thing? My ray is the only bass I don't have my pick ups super close to the strings.Tape over the poles to prevent clipping? The neo pickups should probably be set below the strings enough that its not a problem though.
Thought I'd change out my pick guard from the stock white pearl to black for a change of pace so ordered one from EBMM. I put it on yesterday and think it is a nice match to the ebony fretboard. This Tectonic Blue Sparkle is a bit of a chameleon. It looks pretty subdued and dull here in this photo but shed some sun or a spotlight on it and explodes into a glimmering flash of bright vibrant cobalt blue. Stunning!!!

Thanks, I saw yours and said Yes!! I love it!! You can call me a copy cat if you likeAbsolutely yes! That looks awesome. Of course you onow my feelings on it. The white pearl is cool but the whole cosmetics of the bass match ideally with a black pg.

Metron is yours a 4 or a 5 Tectonic Blue? I have a five and have been toying with the same idea. Maybe even the black hardware to match but seems like a bigger investment.Absolutely yes! Do it! Got the 5er. Of course it needs a black switch cap to be complete.
I prefer chrome personally but black hardware would certainly be nice looking.

Need a chrome or black tip on that 5-way switch.
Sorry, I got first dibs!!!Looks great!
Also-
I want that fretless!
Ha! It's the first fretless of many tried that I've bonded with. Sounds great, especially in single-coil mode, and I can play it in tune, mostly. It's an EBMM Sterling 5H and a previous owner had the good sense to install hipshot tuners, which reduced the weight by 5oz or and eliminated neck dive that I've experienced with other Sterling 5s.
He got it from me, and we have a "gentleman's"agreement if you know what I mean.Well if you ever want to sell it... holla at me!
Metron, I wonder why your switch tip is white and mine is black? Paradigm is right, you need to fix that immediately .![]()
