Did anyone else notice that EBMM is showing off some multiscale guitars? Is this their first go at this? I hope it's a success and they launch a multiscale bass!

I think it's inevitable that it will eventually come to the Stingray, it's probably the next "feature" that would make buy a new one. I trust EBMM that they would put the right level of engineering to make it perfect.

(now if they could also copy the magnet battery cover of the Dingwall's...)

If they do that then there is no excuse for not having 19mm spacing StingRay5.

Sound check at an outdoor festival yesterday…Backline was a Hartke rig, my first time playing on one, sounded good, had a nice crunch to it. The Special sounded great, really cut.

The pearl PG definitely makes that blue pop more. The combination looks really good on your Ray. As for my own mistakes...

Apologies if this is a repost, but the 35th Anniversary StringRay 5 photos don't do a good job of showing the awesome binding on the body! You get a much better view of the bass in the EBMM video from NAMM:

That's a good bass face! Beautiful Blue! :) I wanted a 4 in that color but didn't commit. Now they are all gone. :( I would love to see another dark blue variation from EB!

It was in the paint color schemes before the present ones, I believe it came out 2019. I like that one also it was one I highly considered but after pondering over colors for weeks there were certain ones that wore on me more quickly than others. That one still looks good to me these days though.

Ok, so it was offered along my Ghost Pepper. There were a lot of tasty colours, I wonder why they changed the whole palette... :bored:

I've never seen a Charging green here in Italy, I think.
Did it come with both fretboard woods (maple and rosewood/ebony)?

Well, I plugged my Special's serial number into the Musicman Serial Number database and found out I was wrong about the finish on my new toy. I was calling it Vintage Sunburst, but it's actually a Vintage Tobacco Burst. Not that that matters much to me. It's still a gorgeous instrument. Sounds d@mn nice both at home and on stage, too!

May as well take the opportunity to post another gratuitous picture. :D
