That fretless looks tasty
I thought it was fretless too but it's not. Must just be the lighting in that picture which makes the frets look almost invisible.
Yea I thought the same. I had to go look at the specs and see what kind of frets it had just to make sure, lol
Sure, it's special, just with a lower case "s".
And others will disagree, but I'll also award bonus points for removing a perfectly nice pickguard and replacing it with tort!

That white is beautiful. I’ve always wanted a white StingRay5, and I do love me some sparkle especially with gold hardware.
I just don’t care for the HH models or painted necks. I might have to consider this one though. It’s so pretty !!!
Had a minute earlier so I tried to give you an idea of the drives. Tried to set them blended all drive and cranked, blended mostly clean drive cranked. And blended 50/50 and drive about half way.
On the amp at first is with the EQ section disabled and nothing on then I kicked in the EQ and tube harmonics for a little color.
I’m safe for now….. I think.

You certainly get credit for being open to change/growth. More so than me, that's for sure!

Maybe next time. They did a 5 string Slugger last go round and a 4 string option this time. Here is my official petition for a single H version.

I look at the closed up pictures and yes indeed, my "meh" transformed into a "pretty nice", also super happy they don't offer the single H, I think it would look a bit better, sleek

That's not the kind of tone that would work well in my band so it doesn't fit my needs. But, based on my limited experience with Darkglass, that sounds like Darkglass. Seems like they accomplished what they were going for, so job well done, EBMM.
yeah I didn't really get a good low gain drive in there. I was just trying to hold it together long enough to twiddle knobs. I have my interface set up and I want to put it in with some acid jazz or r and b with more low end tones. I kinda feel like that baseball bat body is a waste of such a beautiful neck. If someone got it and put a nice dark trans finish on it that would look much better IMO.

In case anybody's interested, Guitar Center has a used SRS5H in one of my favorite finishes, Amethyst Sparkle, on its web site. No affiliation.
They actually have a very good selection of used EBMM basses at the moment, including a Joe Dart and several SR Classics.

I tuned down to CGCF with slinky cobalts and I'm beyond impressed with how well it does without bridge cable guages and no 36-37" scale.
