I dig it! How do you like the wireless? I've gone thru a zillion of them. I still have a Line 6 G70, G90, a Shure GLX-D, and I'm using an Xvive U2 atm. The main issue is our sound guy's wifi network and his proximity to our gear. Last weekend, mine and my guitar players wireless units both went down at the same time. He uses the same wireless as I do. It's frustrating.

Probably going to remove the Helix and put on the EBS phaser I've got laying around. Good times...;-)

The G10 has been flawless in every way. No batteries to change is a huge plus. No cables, no belt clips or other nonsense to deal with. It just works. The only complaint I have is the USB power. That’s why I have that Bright Switch next to it.

It’s just a weird little box with 2 USB ports. One is always on (designed to charge your phone but I use it to power the G10 with a 3” usb cable) and the other switches on and off with the foot switch. That one has a flex arm lamp you can plug into it to light your board up. I don’t ever really use it for that.

Right on! Thanks. I checked out their website. I could drive over and see them, if they had anything I could use, LOL! Maybe the next time I'm in Columbus, I'll get a t-shirt...

Me too.

Just got back in from testing that with the Ray. Yeah, GK sounds great with this bass. All 5 pickups have great tones with just minor EQ changes. Gonna sound great in a band mix.

I like the TI jazz flats on mine, fwiw.

You want great cheap overdrive that retains lows, my main push is the Ibanez PD-7, which I discovered on tb, found on eBay, and hasn’t left my board since, and that’s saying something. The Ray’s push with that grind is wow good.

At the moment my playing out is primarily w jazz combos.
At first I wasn’t using my SRS because it seemed too...aggressive?...or something. But I’m more used to it now and it seems to fit in OK.
The TI flats are strong on the fundamental and still ring out, beautifully, for chordal passages. I haven’t tried other flats on it so can’t compare.
I haven’t tried it in a rock setting but I imagine it would work just fine.

Push is exactly the right word. The 18 volt preamp makes my pedals come to life.

Bad news: As I stated earlier, I have approximately ZERO impulse control.
Good news: I will have a Charcoal Sparkle 4HH on Friday.

Edit-Well, apparently, it's gonna be Christmas in November tomorrow. Both my 4HH and 5HH are scheduled to show up tomorrow. That's the one benefit of living in Indiana and Sweetwater being in Indiana, I inadvertently get free overnight shipping. One extra day to bond with my new gigging arsenal.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

You know, this is the first Ray I can think of would be very suitable as a midrange $ bass in any modern jazz combo (HH, whether 4 or 5). It plays great, is fast... I mean not for everyone but will not be surprised to hear of more.

I will again affirm that the GK MB500 is the absolute best solid state amp in the GK solid state line-up.

Yeah, umm, nothing against D class amps, but seriously, RB amps are THE GK tone. I'd put my GK 2001RB against ANY amp on the market, in the existence of bass amps. No MB amp gets that heft that RB amps have. Not to mention, 2001RB's extra headroom does wonders for the low end. And I've been through quite a few amps, headroom is headroom.

No MB amp gets that heft that RB amps have. Not to mention, 2001RB's extra headroom does wonders for the low end. And I've been through quite a few amps, headroom is headroom.

I’m a Markbass convert but I’ve owned GK stuff in the past and I have to agree. The MB is great and very easy to tote but the RB has the SLAM.

Let me clarify a bit; in the solid state "micro" head line. RB series are pretty smackin' good as well. Had a 700RBII for first "big boy" amp, and not sure whether it was ignorance or stupidity or both (LOL), but went with the DB751 as my "big boy" amp; even at the typical 750W@4 Ohms, the DB seems to have more volume even at lower volumes etc. Also, if one does not use GK cabs, the BiAmp capability is lost (Full-vs-BiAmp).
