EBMM StingRay Special Club

Matching headstock for the win! CongratsI thought Monday would never get here. My custom has finally arrived !!
And with this …… I think I’m done !!
Getting my Fretless and now this , there is nothing else I need , desire , or want. ( Except a Tiffany’s Blue Sparkle or Burst). I might get brave and do that to my Old Smoothie one day.
Anyway, the one thing that always bugged me about my Amethyst Sparkle was that is was lacking one thing to make it perfect. So I begged and pleading my case and finally got EBMM to agree to build me a custom.

Now she is perfect!! Even weighs less than my other one which is already sold . 8.2lbs of sparkling purple royalty!! Her majesty the Queen has been properly crowned !!!

I need one with a maple fretboard. (Or, if a rosewood fingeboard is mandatory, one with a matching genius gold headstock.)
I meant to post this when it was released but totally forgot!
I think about half the album has bass and half doesn’t but if you hear a bass, it’s my Stingray special.
It’s pretty mellow,
I’m jealous! That’s the one thing that bugged me too (the natural headstock is fine). It’s still my main bass and it’s never going anywhere though.

Great stuff! A Verve/Richard Ashcroft vibe to me from what I heard.
EBMM must have a great stash of light weight ash. This years offerings are coming in like they are on the latest Ozempic craze.
On another note.......I think I prefer dots or a blank figured wood fingerboard to blocks on StingRay basses. Something about the round body shape an the pick guard shapes just look off to me when you add blocks. I think the blocks do look nice on certain models that have the rear route and no pick guard .

Has anyone ordered a new EBMM short scale lately? Im wondering if they still come with the hard case or if they have a mono soft case for that too. I really like Mono soft cases . All 3 of my Specials now have one. They take up a lot less room and weigh a lot less too. Just my Old Smoothie and my Short scale have the plastic hard case.

That is EXACTLY what I wanted with an amethyst sparkle as well(kept me from picking one up a few times). You beat me to it! Looks amazing. I am very very jelly
I think every sparkle finish should come with a matching headstock .
If I could have changed one thing about mine is I wish I had a matching headstock. I possibly could have special ordered it, but I would not have gotten the Sweetwater financing deal for one that was stock.
I generally like dots better myself.
Website has shown Short Scales as 'Sold Out'; is their something I don't know? also used prices are High
That is the norm with the short scales. They make them in a limited run. No one really knows how many it will be unless it’s a Vault /BFR offering. Then they are sold out. Used prices always stay pretty close to new. Tim Cummerfords go for more than new. Then EBMM introduces new colors. You have to get them asap when released.
Hey folks, I’m about to order a Stingray Special 4H but can’t quite make my mind up between the Smoked Chrome finish and the recently released Black Rock.
I’ve owned a Stingray Special in the past that was in the Charcoal Sparkle finish.

But that Black Rock would be my choice even over what I got GC Exclusive Burnt Apple 2023[re-release from 2019; which was my choice then when I almost bought one;
