EBMM StingRay Special Club

I've been in HELL for the past year. Watching you guys with all these new Specials has not been easy, and I have occasionally used my Navy words while still being very happy for you. Mostly. Some of the time. Due to the nature of my relationship with The Company*, sometimes I'm pretty far down the list of people who might get certain basses.

But sometimes I'm not, so it's hard for me to complain.

Possibly due to you guys snapping them up by the fistful, there have not been many available to guys like me. This has not really changed but one interesting bass did become available today. (Thank you, @Scott Ball !) I have to travel through the end of the year, but expect to be playing "a special Special" by early January.

Which is excellent as I have a couple of shows in January and this gives me even more motivation to not totally suck, which is always on my list of options.

Hooray, me! Enjoying your photos, guys (and girls). Keep 'em coming.

Oh gosh darn are you going to have some killer unique paint job to slay us with?

I hope you enjoy the special Special as much as we like our rank and file axes!

Bovine, I'm just wondering whether they've relented and produced you an SR5 Special in that baby puke green/yellow trans colour (HEINZ).... myself and Liverbird are hoping that they might relent and produce us Specials in that other seemingly BP hated colour, PEACH!!!

Anyway enough of this, I'm going to need your input and others on a more immediate and major dilemma I've been placed in with my Cruz Teal SR5HHs - new thread to follow at the weekend.....before anyone starts worrying the bass is all fine and dandy - but there is a potential minor mod involving an original part!!

My holy grail is finding a Trans Mtn Dew SR5. I think they said only single digits were ever made. It's hard to even find a pic on Google.

Remind me in a month or so. I will then have a Special SR5 Special, a 20th SR5 and Heinz. Seems like a lot of SR5s for one lowly man, eh?

I went back to the music store that has the Charcoal Sparkle 4H Special that I am obsessed with.
They are willing to take back my Fender Professional Series Elite P Bass and give me a fair
as credit towards the Special.
I would need to come up with $950.00 difference to make this happen.
So close to Christmas, retired and on a budget.
I need to find a creative way of raising the extra cash...

Been there . Done exactly that. Had a very nice Fender Elite Jazz V. Played the Stingray5 Special . Returned the Fender. Now I am a happy Stingray5 Special owner.
Maybe they will allow you to layaway plan it.
