A white or aged pearl or black pickguard would look great. But any color would work well.

what strings did you put on your BFR Crescendo 5HH now that it is retuned E-C?I decided to restring my BFR Crescendo 5HH and retune E-C. I’m loving it!! Should have done it sooner. Chords sound sweet, and angelic. What a beautiful sound!!! The LaBella low tension flats did not make the cut for me. No worries, I’ve got the low B with flats and rounds covered .
I still have my BFR Moonbeam 5HH B-G with Slinky Rounds, and my Amethyst Sparkle 5H B-G with Cobalt Slinky flats.
Oh, and my BFR Fretless 5 is still B-G with TI Flats.
Seems like I keep coming back to EBMM Slinky rounds and cobalt flats and TI Jazz flats and rounds. I’m sticking with what works.
TI rounds on my Sandberg and slinky shorts on the StingRay Shorty Tim Cummerford active. I have shorty set of cobalt flats if the urge hits me.
This switch to the E-C tuning has saved me from buying a Bongo 6.
I used these . I left off the 130 low B.what strings did you put on your BFR Crescendo 5HH now that it is retuned E-C?

Scroll down to from the feed sectionThat's even better than Hot Honey. Where'd you find this?
I have both a SR 4H and a SRS 5H. Both sound like StingRays, but if you enjoy the crispness of the treble of the non-Special and want that out of a Ray then the Special might leave you yearning for more. I still believe the Special sounds excellent, but it is more polite.I recently picked up a used Stingray 5H (pre special) at my local music store. Love this bass. Like it so much that I'm thinking of adding a new Stingray special 5h or 5hh to my collection. My concern though the revoiced preamp on the specials. I've heard it described as more "polite." What does this mean? I love on on my 5h the treble control is voiced at a really high frequency. From what I hear on youtube demos, it seems EB has moved the frequency center lower to match industry trends. I absolutely hate the way most modern treble controls are voice at 3-5 k. Very harsh for boosting. Are my concerns valid?
That's beautiful just because of the finish. But the gold hardware matches the board nicely and the blocks take it to another level.Whoever ordered this Custom Design Experience bass has some excellent taste!!! Transparent purple is soooo gorgeous!!!![]()
