EBMM Stingray

If you can get one for $600 in good shape, you're getting a great bargain. StingRays command a lot of money these days. I rarely see them for less than $800 in excellent shape, depending on the year.
My friend is telling me to bargain this guy lower but I feel like if I asked lower it would be too much, so I just needed to show him people won't go lower then $600.
The last stingray I saw go for $600 was a butchered to death '79. But that wasn't even an EB. A minty EBMM will command no less than $800. I think there was one here in the classifieds with rusted out pole pieces and played a LOT, was selling for about $700 or so.
$600 is the lowest I have ever seen asked for a genuine U.S. StingRay. At least in recent history.
If it's in even passable condition that's a great price. Don't try and talk the seller down, just give him the money, say thank you and run out of there before he realizes he's giving it away.
Just make sure it's a U.S. made MusicMan Stingray and not a Sterling by MusicMan Stingray... those are the new foreign made line and $600 for one of those is not a great deal.

I bought an SR4 earlier this year for $600 cash, and it was in nice shape, original case and all, just needed new strings.

CL. And the guy lived in the same city. His asking was 600 and I wasn't going to insult him by offering lower, just called him said meet in 15 minutes, and done! It was actually a really nice bass.
I got my EBMM Stingray earlier this year from Guitarcenter in Roseville... $749 brand spanking new with the case. At that price I could not say no.
