EBS Octabass

Via Google search, I can find a great number of people that hate Fender P basses. One should take internet opinions with a grain of salt. :)

Do we really need to get into the litany of companies that have sued Behringer? Aphex, Mackie, BBE, Roland and Peavey immediately come to mind as companies that have taken Behringer to court for trademark infringement. Ultimately it is up to the consumer to decide if they want to do business with a company whose practices are far from ethical and have resulted in numerous cases of litigation.

No flame, it was an honest question. You stated a preference for a US-made guitar. In the context of this thread, it is a valid question to ask if you also specify the components of US origin to comply with your desire for a US-made guitar.

Your skin...it needs to be thicker.

Just because I prefer an American made instrument, doesn't mean that I'm delusional that every piece it's assembled from is also made in the USA. Don't try to lump me in with the OP, my preference is related to quality, not origin. Even though most will argue that the two are directly related.

And that's cool too. Although you do use Aphex, Line 6 and Boss etc, you don't cry and bash Asian made gear, right?
Anyway, I'm off my soapbox now haha :o

Only if the Asian gear in question supports it's reputation of origin. Why would I own something just to bash it? Some of the crappiest pedals I've ever encountered was USA EHX stuff, my old Bassballs aside. Some of the best pedals IMO are Japanese and Taiwanese (is that a word?) Boss and Ibanez.
