Eden 210XLT, love hate?

I have one. It's a good cab. I have a Trace Elliot 2x8 cab paired with it, and it sounds really good in that combination.

Keep an eye at GC Used site where shipping is cheap. I get bigger/heavier cabs than that shipped for ~$33.

I have a WT550 and 2X10XLT cab that I use for my ‘small rig’. I usually run the enhance up just a little bit and maybe add a couple of clicks to the bass knob and I get a very solid tone. You do have to watch out though as you can push the speakers to their limits (quickly) if you’re not careful.

Recently purchased one in very good condition, slightly dusty. Paid just under 2 Benjamins for it. Found a Tuki cover locally for $40. Would an Eden WT-400 or WT-550 be best to drive it?

I used a pair of 210XLT cabs for a few years. The lows were a little loose, mids were strong and the highs were sort of soft (IME). I dont mean that in a negative way…they are good cabs and those were simply their characteristics based on my use. At the time I drove that stack with either a 70’s SVT, V4, Carvin B1500, or Genz Benz Shuttle. Wide variety of amps, but generally got similar results (although different flavors) as stated above through the Eden cabs. I thought it was a good setup but don’t want to schlep those cabs around today, so they sold a few years ago. Very sturdy cabs with excellent handles. Prefer more modern cabs now though.

Do not push the low bass too much and enjoy.

I pulled my grill off the other day and noticed I have a small crease in one of my drivers. I have been pushing that cab too hard and have paid the price. When I bought the cab many months ago the drivers looked great. That is one thing you need to watch out for when buying these cabs. I’ll continue to run it but will just have to keep an eye on the volume going forward.

Failed to mention that mine is the 4ohm model. Unsure if 8ohm or 4ohm is desirable?

This one is 350W RMS so I suppose the WT-550 can peak out the 210XLT soundly.

Had creasing issues with my D-210XLT as well. It is an efficient cabinet, but doesn't handle a lot of power in the lows, especially with a 5-string. Perhaps well suited for those seeking a tone focused on the low midrange.

I'm still using my 4 Ohm D410XLT I bought years ago for $300. I've had a couple of D410XLT and one D210XLT cabs. I've mostly used them with SVT's heads--CL, '89 II (np), and '78 curved line.

Clearly, I'm ignoring trends in lightweight amps. In choosing between quality/performance, price/value, and weight, two out of three is okay with me. I have exceptionally lightweight basses instead.
