It's much easier to add midrange to an Acme than it is to remove it from an Eden.

Actually, IMO and IME, I disagree, especially if you are talking about the XST line. With the XLT, I guess I would agree.

There is no way (IMO and IME) to get significant and aggressive mid and upper mid projection out into the room (if that's what you want... of course many don't) through that little mid driver versus the top end of a more full range 10 or 12" speaker.

I have not used bass specific gear for a long time. The last speaker i bought was an H&H (UK) twin 15" cabinet in the late seventies. After that I went bi-amp into four JBL k120s and two K145s all in separate cabinets. When I got my first B2 it just blew me away not to mention my entire rig. I bought another B2 and sold off the entire JBL system. I now have the pleasure of owning four B2s and I would not consider using anything else. For anything from Classic Rock, Country, Blues to my Funky horn band they give me everything that I ask for. I usually use only a pair for a gig but when I use all four oh boy do they roar!

When I got my first B2 I still had my D410T to compare...it was an instant OMG moment and I never went back after that

I went through pretty much the same thing between my old Eden 210xlt and my current Avatar b210. The difference was literally night and day for me and my rig at least.
