Eden EC combos?

I have several rigs that I use, that range from an original Trace Elliot stack, twin crate power blocks, a gallien kruger bass 400, etc and while they are all good and individual, I find that my Eden EC28, as small as it is, has been a minor miracle.

The range and response of tone is unreal, and how two 8 inch speakers can produce the silky sub it commands is beyond me. I've played gigs with well over 100 people with this thing and it barely broke sweat, it has power. I like a little compression on the signal but I rarely use any enhance. I don't think the EC range has the Neve chip, possibly an imitation, but not as good and probably the same one that's in the Eden DI box. Its really a great little amp but don't underestimate its capabilities. a brilliant space save and a great performer. Its 180w RMS in a tiny, light cabinet.

I will say this though, the first one I bought had to be replaced as it sounded like the torque on a speaker was not right. a little bit of rasping on the heavy bass, but the replacement has been brilliant.

Its worth mentioning I use mainly 5 string basses and its never flinched at the low Bs

For me it sounds like a small issue.
I would give the combo a chance.
well its about a year later , I got it fixed locally ($125) and it works great they said
the power amp blew and was replaced its a very handy unit and holds its own with a full band its the EC 1x15, I'm using all Phil Jones
gear now but the eden is great for what it is and the price is right....

Hi guys, bit late to the party, but I need some advice as I'm looking for a portable solution to bring to practices (1 guitar, drums, bass) and was looking into the EC28 as a good solution, simply taking form factor into account. I haven't had the opportunity to try one and my stage rig is normally a genz 9.0, and a GK Neo 4x10. I'm not looking to emulate my current rig, just looking to stand out in vol etc with a kit. We play rock and funk so that's worth taking into account. My other option is hooking up an ampeg microcab to my genz. But I'm trying to reduce the amount of gear I'm needing to bring, hence the combo. Worth pulling the trigger on the Eden?

Yes Eden amps are now made in China and for the price they are great
so many choices out there as far as bass combo's go Markbass, Phil Jones
etc. they all have the same basic components.....I like the PJB gear lightweight
and great clear bass tone heres my lightweight PJB rig....
