Thanks for the feed back my man! After reading your post and feedback from other fellow bassist...i decided to return the wt550 got the wt800 :hyper:
You will only get 400W from one side of the WT800, too - unless you run it in bridged mono.

I haven't seen anyone on TalkBass comment on the DNA stuff, ever. Is it, you know, not all that?

I realize that...i just couldnt find anyone really who ran the wt550 through the 6x10 cab. Found alot of people who ran the wt800 through the 6x10 and found the results amazing.

Will a WTX-260 or WTX-500 push a D-112 XLT 8ohm appropriately?
Years ago I had D-410 XLT and that thing loved power. It sound completely different when I had headroom over RMS wattage.
I use a WTX-260 into a D112XLT/8 ohm and I get varied results. When very quiet- acoustic instrument volume- it sounds fantastic. Very deep, pillowy, but still plenty of pitch definition and some punch when I dig in.

As the volume goes up, the cabinet thins out and gets pretty mid-rangy, but that rig will hang with a quiet drummer- not necessarily brushes or hot rods, but still someone with a light touch when using sticks who is playing a smaller kit. The WTX-500 is probably a better fit, but the D112XLT is going to be mid-heavy at higher volumes no matter what. It just won't make deep sounds very loudly no matter what the EQ is set at, in my experience. That is part of what makes it a great second cab w/ my Metro though, is the punch, definition, and volume it adds.

So will you let us little guys in? I had some Christmas money and wanted a better living room amp, so I got this little guy. Man what a tone! And they gave me $50 bucks trade in on my old POS Randall I picked up at a pawn shop for 60!

I recommend trying one for your practice amp.

I'm another one who's returned to Eden. I'm running a Navigator with a Peavey IPR1600 on one rig and just got another WT-550 a couple weeks ago which I'm running for Sunday's.

Can I have a number (my first ever TB club BTW)?

Mmmm..thinking.......

Got myself an EX112 and a Shuttle 9.0 ( with the separate "cradle" attachment - so I can bolt the cradle onto the EX112 and have slide in and out combo amp set up, like the old Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0-12T combos )

Only really run the Shuttle through my Bergs and ran the EX112 through my WTX500, but will give it a sound test tonight - only for smaller gigs though as the Shuttle would destroy my poor cab in a nanosecond...if cranked *sniff

Anyone tried an EX cab through a Shuttle?

I've had a 212XLT and 210XLT since 99 or so. But recently I saw an EX410N Neo that weighs 59 lbs and is very attractively priced with very little details on the website except that it's been discontinued. Has anyone ever played one and know the sonic characteristics or the story behind the cab?
