Eden Metro Eden DC210XLT 550 watts

So i came across one of these for 400 after the fact of selling my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 soon for 400 as well. So has anyone had any experience with these amps. i know they are built like a tank, i play a 6 string spector legend six, and the edens i have experienced have been wonderful to my ears in warmth bass and clarity mids and highs. i had the shuttle playing through a 200 watt Genz 15T-BB Brian Bromberg. but now i have a chance to go back to my lovely 2 10" setup that i started out with but with more power hopefully. any advice helps. may be purchasing it tomorrow after trying it out.

Thats all i needed to hear man.!! Yeah the guy is 65 , so the 78lbs is not good for him anymore and he is downsizing. So ima jump on it. Shuttle getting sold tommorrow and replaced.

That's a great combo. Do yourself a favour and get yourself a two button footswitch with a TRS 1/4" plug (I had one made by Marshall for mine) so you can take advantage of the two preamps and the mute function remotely.

Never owned one myself, but I've played through Metros a couple of times, and it's a great combo, IMO. IIRC, the preamps on that combo are unique to the amp and super flexible. You can also add an extension cab, either a 210XLT or 210XST for added oomph!

You are right about the foot switch. Mine came with the Eden footswitch, which is really useful for switching between the solid state and tube channels.

It's been my main stage monitor since 1999, even on 40 X 60 stages it kicks. I have mine in a road case tray with wheels, and I keep the wheels on the amp as well inside the tray to reduce stage coupling.

I like to give my engineer every advantage I can to get max PA house levels with minimal stage interference and this works perfectly!

I played an Eden WT550 head and an XLT210 cab and it sounded amazing. I went to GB for weight and CS.

The Eden rig sounded REALLY good. Handled a low B better than the SWR Super Redhead, too.

Love my Eden's. The XST cabs are even better for the 5 string players. They go lower and are more linear/smooth in their delivery.

Yeah, if the Super Redhead could take a B string I may still be using one - although they are heavy. And I don't get how SWR couldn't make that work. All their other stuff is/was so good.

I believe they were replaced the one i found someone selling. It has 3" casters i believe.i will be sure to check if i get it
