Eden Microtour Mini Amplifier REVIEW

Recently bought an Eden Microtour. It's a 2 watt 12 in. high 5 in. wide and 3 3/4 deep micro amp with a 4 1/2 speaker. It has what appears to be a port above the speaker which adds to the height. It's about the size of a double stack Marshal micro amp, perfect for an overnight bag or suitcase. I Loaded 8 AA batteries in and the battery cover kind of bowed out a little because it doesn't have the little tracks on the side to slide up secure. The batteries are kept snug though so they don't rattle. Plugged in a bass and a very evident buzzing , rattle ensued. At first I thought something on the desk it was sitting on was rattling because that's what it sounded like or the batteries. Come to find out it was in the speaker. Back it went for a replacement. 2 days later another arrived. This one had no buzzing rattle like the first but did have a really nice sounding natural speaker breakup when turned up the last quarter (tone rolled off) with a passive and around 50 % with a hotter active. The tone knob does seem to be backwards with the tone roll off to the right and boost to the left and does effect when the speaker breaks up. The sound is clear and the tone is real good. Doesn't distort. I have the Marshall micro MS-2 and it would be perfect for that type of jamming with a guitar. It's roughly as loud as an acoustic bass so it would be fine for playing with an acoustic guitar or piano etc. It's perfect for sitting on your computer desk and playing along with you tube videos, practicing, traveling, camping and also has a headphone out. It's not for any type of band situation. I'm completely happy with this thing. Made in China.

I've been waiting for mine to arrive since December.
It showed up today and it buzzes at even the quietest setting. :(
Sounds great in the headphones. I guess it's going back and I can hopefully get another...faster.

Seems to have a bit of a quality control issue. My 1st one buzzed, almost like a screw was loose on the speaker. The replacement was fine.
