Eden WT-400

I just bought a used WT-400, Traveler 400. I think this is the same as the Traveler Plus, correct? What was the time periods of these?

About my WT-400, it has some road time with some scratches, but it works fine. It's all true that these amps are great sounding and give a lot of control over the tone.

The control pots were dirty. I cleaned the pots with tuner cleaner and most lost the scratchy sound, but the master volume pot still sounds dirty. Is there a magic spot to spray in the cleaner?

Also, it appears that someone tried cleaning the exterior of the unit and that removed the handwriting on the rear panel. Is the serialnumber written anywhere on the inside? What about the build date?

BTW, the more I play through this amp the more I like it. All the praise by others for it is warranted. It has a nice solid tone that clear and full. Low or high playing volumes sound equally as good. I do hope that Marshall brings Eden back to the state it was before the USM meltdown.

It would be sweet if David Nordschow were approached like this, "We're sorry that corporate bean counter weenies almost ruined your products. We would like you to be reinstated as President and CEO of Eden."

I know, that's a tall order, but it breaks my heart to see what greed does to destroy the good things.

They're taking their time about it! I hope that means they're doing it right--tons of R&D, user testing, new products coming down the pipe at attractive prices--but frankly the eight months of silence hasn't encouraged me. :hmm:
