Eden WT800C amp woes!! Anyone else having Problems?

You guys are all right about CS being so critical. Just this morning I put a question in to EBS via their website about an issue with a Multicomp. Within two hours I had a response, along with a person's name, email address, and contact number. All for a little stomp box. That's the way things should work.

I did it today.. I went to my dealer.. And got my money back for the "out on perpetual repair wt800c". Finally after 3 months of repairs and two RAs.
The funny thing is after the "2 weeks" thing that i kept getting told month after month by eden, when i got to the dealer they said a new wt800C was just overnighted to them...

Even funnier is that the same problem that i had with mine that went out on repair time after time is happening on this brand new unit that they just recieved..and that is when you pull the MUTE , it goes into occilation and static noise when the gain input is over 3 o'clock..
The bass guy just rolled his eyes... It is really sad.. My Credit card is not yet showing the credit posting to it when i just checked, so i will keep my eye on it.. but as of today I was refunded...this should be the end of my eden dilema.

Depending on how they posted the credit, it might not show up on your card for 24-72 hours, so I wouldn't be concerned.

In the mean time, welcome to the end of your tunnel. So the next question is, what will you replace it with? GBE1200 or something that's not quite as back breaking? ;)

I know you've tried EA and they're not your thing, but with this kinda' money you could get into the new Epifani 902C, which just KILLS (DUAL 900W amps!), and is very lightweight. Other than that, there's prescious few lightweight high-power integrated amps out there.

interesting...after all this time they refund your money :hmm: Maybe they were afraid of bad publicity? Or a lawsuit?

I am glad it worked out too. Now, on to better things.

HOnestly my main thing at the beginning was to find a lightweight amp that sounds good,, and lightweight i mean less than an SVT or 400+.. that is not class D... The eden fit the bill.. but we know that story..
The Genz looks so sweet.. and sound so clear.. wonderful amp from the demo in the store...never gigged with it though, but you can tell what it is like... GB +1000.
The only thing i am worried about is the keeping it light for fly dates and locals gigs that i toss the thing in the back of my honda and go..
The Genz 750 is pushing the weight slightly.. hey. im pushing 50 guys and girls..not there yet but close..

The Thunderfunk is popping up constanly. My friend in NY just got one and loves it as well as a few folks on TB swear by theirs.. All of my fly dates are good PA support so volume is not a terrible issue...
The TF is under 20 pounds and my bud says it sounds very tube like for a SS amp...
So the TF is on the short list too.. keeping it open for a few days... i will report.. thank you

Kirk, for the gear I see that you use and have used in the past, and knowing that you didn't dig the markbass amp, I'd say the Thunderfunk is right up your alley. I can't see you not liking it.
Yah the Genz and the Thunderfunk are neck and neck... I loved the GB.. but the TF may win.. Since to be honest iliked the Eden Sound.. the whole day that i had it... I wont speak for BigmikeW, but i think he liked the eden too.. but like him I got tired of the excuses from them...
I think he loves the new GB amp alot.. and they are built like tanks..
I mean he had a nice thing with them with his pro endorcemnt and to jump ship just doesnt happen for anything but a good reason... again i cant speak for him. just my view from the outside..
I liked the eden layout somewhat but i heard the TF at NAMM and i was over the top impressed... my only concern is that , is it loud enough for what i need?
I am just so happy to be free now without the $$$$ hanging over my head that i am going to wait a day or two to make a decision.. but the TF sure does look right as you say.

how about a b1500 with a tube in the preamp?
The problems started before the buyout. So says the many threads on the topic before the buyout was actually announced. People weren't getting their calls returned, waiting forever for fixes and promises, etc. etc.

As a potential customer in the past year, my experience by email was not satisfactory so I dropped my consideration at that point. Lots of errors in their manuals too - generic use of blurbs for features that exist on other amps of theirs but not the one in question, etc.

svtb15, good luck. We need a Carvin B500 "mini" or something eh?
