Here's some shots of my secret hideaway in the basement. Its been a good year so far gearwise. I've sold a lot of pedals off but still have a nice little ptjr setup. I had to scale down some pedals to afford a new Jazz bass and Shuttle 6.0. I'm slowly buying pedals again as those little colorful boxes call my name in the darkness!

because they do get a good tone,
but i've heard better.

they make good amps, or did i should say. ford makes a great car,
but i'd much rather drive a mercedes.

i guess ampeg is like ford if you think about it, hence the analogy. they redefined how vehicles were made, but they don't necessarily make the best cars around, as good as they may be.

i own an ampeg pre, and i like it, but it doesn't blow me away every time i play it, you know?

Personal preference. I detest Genz Benz, Mark Bass, and a lot of those other pretty little toys people are ranting and raving about these days. I don't like most modern ampegs either, especially anything solid state.
