everyone is always saying that your gonna hurt yourself doing this, or this is really bad for you, but as long as you are getting SOME nutrition, and that you dont NOT EAT for too long, you will be perfectly fine, and several pounds lighter too.

1. I am not starving myself... just reducing my portion size. Before, every meal I ate was probably enough for two people. I dont feel real hungry all day, just feel like, "yeah, I could eat."
id just like to say i can drink a 1 and ½ L of coke everyday eat chocolate all the time from boredom hunger, eat big fatty fried meals chocolate cereal, basically exactly the opposite of whats healthy, and im 6 foot 3 and 60 kg, nanana you guys![]()
Eat less. Move more. AND surf.
I agree. Its a really simple concept. I just dont see how the diet industry is so lucrative.Eat less. Move more. AND surf.
I was thinking the same thing, but you saved me a whole bunch of typing. Plus you sound much more knowledgeable on the subject than I.Right now you're starving your body so your metablism is going to start slowing down. Your body will think there's a famine and it will be harder and harder to lose weight. The human body is very smart and when you start starving yourself (or restricting food to extreme limits) your body knows it needs to store fat to stay alive. Your metabolism becomes slower. You will probably start becoming weak and tired. Most of the weight you do lose will most likely be muscle, which is the key to a fast metabolism and a "toned" appearance. This muscle loss will be even worse due to the almost zero grams of protein in your diet. Muscle burns calories just sitting there. If you weighed 200 lbs, and worked out and gained 2 lbs of muscle without losing any fat, you'd be MUCH better off than you were at 200 lbs because your metabolism is now faster, it has to burn more calories to maintain the muscle you're carrying. Many people go by what the scale says instead of the mirror or body composition scale. You may be saying "hell yes I lost 10 lbs!" but if you lose 8 lbs of muscle and 2 lbs of fat, you've just become fatter because your metabolism is slower.. and your bodyfat percentage just got worse. If you gain 15-20 lbs of muscle from weight training, you will look better, lose fat MUCH faster, and be able to get away with dirtier food habits.
It is possible to stay full all the time (5-6 smaller meals per day) and eat the same amount of calories you were eating before (or more!!). Keeping a constant flow of food is better for your muscle maintenance and also it speeds up your fat loss because your body doesn't think theres a famine so it is less hesitant to release the fat. You just have to eat the right foods, not huge quantities but ample, and exercise a bit. And its not like you have to give up "bad" foods altogether, eating a "cheat meal" or "cheat day" every so often actually kickstarts the metabolism and helps you resume the quick pace of fat loss.
By the way, it is not necessary to "run" on a treadmill for cardio. You can very easily get your heart rate high enough to burn fat at a good rate by doing a fast paced walk on an incline or flat. Try keeping your heart rate around .65(220-age) for 30-45 mins in the morning on an empty stomach. Melts fat away. I HATE running and I dieted and trained for a bodybuilding show last year without a minute of running... just a fast walk on an incline. E-Z!
If you have any other questions about working out or dieting, feel free to ask, it's a hobby of mine and I'm also a personal trainer.

The key to burning fat is "tricking" your body into speeding up the metabolism.
