peanut gallery is from the early days of vaudeville
The rowdiest customers sat in the cheapest seats & heckled the performers.

I have used the question mark in the wrong context I suppose. Something like: This punctiation biz is a PITA?
In this case the meaning of the question mark would be "Isn't it". See how I did that? Sometimes you just need a decoder ring. OTOH, as we age we really don't care. Or is it that we really don't think that well any more, what comes out of our brain goes into type and there aint nothing we can do about it (or want to do about it).

Yes!

And as I see it, a significant amount of “pore writting” is coming from the younger crowd. If that is the case, what will things look like when they get old and no longer care?

As I have aged, I have become more aware of my spelling, grammar and punctuation. I make more of an effort to be correct now, than I did twenty or thirty years ago.
