Right admitting we have a problem is step #1. We can have a 12 step program just like Alcoholics Anonymous' 12 steps.

I buy one at a time, and I only have plans on purchasing one more pedal for the rest of this year (if they are even made). I also sold off my leavins yesterday, every effect I have is on my board now.
But I can't plug in directly to my amp, nor should I want to. It's not a problem. It's the way to be.

My new board is almost done, OC-2 is on its way, as well as parts for a couple diy pedals, and a coupld of re-houses are in the works!

I've got way too many pedals (like > 100 - and that's just the fully functioning ones). I like to tell my wife they are for "education purposes" (I teach a class on the technical side of music), but the truth is I just love them.
Got 4 pedals yesterday. I need to go a moratorium though because I'm out of spending money. I should spend some time fixing the drawer full of dead pedals I have (or finish building a few I have in various states of completion).
I've got way too many pedals (like > 100 - and that's just the fully functioning ones). I like to tell my wife they are for "education purposes" (I teach a class on the technical side of music), but the truth is I just love them.

iv been playin bass for 11 months, and iv easily gone through 20-25 pedals, current setup has 9, im fairly happy with that ammount, but im still not happy with what iv got!

My GAS has calmed down, as I am very happy with my current setup. But I have steadily added a pedal per month since I started coming to this forum

I like effects for playing on my own and messing around but I just dont see how they work well in a band. The dont seem to add much for me or seem to fade into the mix. I like some overdrive but you guys can have the rest of the effects.
Great! Whatever you can't use, send to me. I run a home for wayward effects.
Seriously...There are plenty of effects that I can't use with my band (comp, OD, and fuzz is all that I need for our music). However, I have a growing collection of pedals for my own entertainment and non-band recordings.
