Effects Forum Noise Compilation

well havent had any friends feedback but my parents (who dont like any music I play naturally lol) reckon that it was better than the fretless bass/drum peice I played in dec at a live show... oh and altho my clip sounds a bit amateur/weirdly recorded, I kinda like it,... and listening to it with a sub when the turbo rat kicks in is like a big brass roar opening up beneath your feet I like it alot!

have to say my fav song so far is actually one that I wasn't expecting, barca lounger on wheels is such a cool chill out/groovey track in multiple ways, definitely gets thumbs up from me :)

I'm finding that all of the tunes have their own vibe about them, and Pickles ordered them well. I have smiled every time I hear Termination Dust after Barcalounger. Barcalounger has this smooth, headbop groove and then Passinwind drops the hammer and is gone before you even realize what hit you. I could go on and on about how it all came together. It was definitely worth being a part of.:bassist:

@FreakyFrequency: Thanks for the kind words in the other thread, I really appreciate it.

I didn't mention it earlier because I couldn't remember which track it was (what can I say, I set the mood appropriately ;)), but Mr. Pickles...

What on earth is that voice?!

Actually, that is a SM57 inserted in my colon after some spicy Thai food.

Seriously, it's an ethnic vocal sample from an old sample CD.
I just wanted to start off with something startling. I used a pitchshifting plug for added starngeness.

bump 'cause i finally had a spare evening to have a couple of listens through....

...

REALLY impressed! - with the variety, the production* but mainly with the quality of the tracks. i hadn't meant to do a double listen in one go but it seemed the thing to do.

enjoyed the beat driven stuff as well as the more abstract tracks. track order and overall mastering worked great, as does the artwork.

more detailed reviews to follow, i need to sleep now!

*i seriously need to learn to mix/produce/etc properly...

So where are we on a name/mood, something like chainsaw wielding whales, or Intergalactic brown note generator:p
