How stable is the tuning on those? My buddy has a Travis Bean guitar that sounds just beautiful, but it will not stay in tune due to the aluminum neck. Any temperature variations just wreak havoc on the tuning stability. T6061 aluminum has a pretty high thermal expansion coefficient.

I've only had mine for two days so couldn't comment, sorry.

Not any better or worse than a wooden instrument in my experience so far. I haven't had it through all the seasons but once it's tuned up it's been solid

I've had my EGC on order for a looong time, but no complaints here.... I'm in no rush for it.

I have a half dozen friends who have their guitars and they all love them, so I'm excited to see my bass. I don't want to get into too many details about it, but I promise you it will be like no other bass on the planet!

I have never had tuning problems with my Travis Bean and i have not played as much yet with my EGC but the few live shows i have did with it there was no problem.


I sometimes put tape on the back of the neck so i can see the note markers. Playing with the EGC with stage lights going mad makes it hard to see what i am playing.

Yeah that's him playing quiet in the house with both humbuckers on at the same time i think but fully amped hi just uses the bridge pickup. His bass weighs way more than my all Aluminum bass.
