Double Bass Ehrlund Acoustic Pickup

So I have a question here, but first a little preface: I owned the Ehrlund for a while but I ended up selling it. I found it too fussy: sometimes it sounded great, then inexplicably it would sound awful without my having touched it; even during the course of one gig. I remember spending hours with the amp at home trying every conceivable place on the bass. So the question, should I expect the same issues with the Dyn-b, were I to go that route? Was thinking of giving it a try... Anyone familiar with both? Thanks!

Bass86,
Well, my experience with the Ehrlund was exactly the opposite of yours. I just put it on the bass and it worked beautifully. My only experience with a DYN-b is that I used Shertler's DYN-b putty to affix the Ehrlund to my bass.It works perfectly. Good luck to you
