Recently picked up this Electrical Guitar Company EGC500B. Based off of Travis Bean's last bass design (see pic below next to an original TB500B that Kevin at EGC was building). I had been wanting an EGC for quite a while and fate smiled on me when some unexpected funds became available the same day this bass popped up for sale. I don't think I have the patience to await a custom build, ha.
All aluminum construction with a custom EGC high gain humbucker...and high gain it is! This thing just sings. Rolling off tone knob takes you down to thumpville, with lots of usable tone in between. Really unlike any other instrument. Makes you just want to dig in. Weight is right at 9 pounds and balances very well. Incredible quality and pretty much bombproof. I have owned quite a few basses and this one is special.
