Electronic help for project

So I recently bought a dean razorback bass husk. I only have 3 holes for electronics and I don’t know what to prioritize. I plan on installing a set of bartolini mk4cbc passive pups, and because I have a battery door I was going to install an active pre amp.

With that, I have a lot of options for controls, like volume, tone, 2/3 band eq, blend, active/passive mode and whatnot. Obviously I need volumes for both pups, but otherwise there’s such a mix of options and I don’t really know what to pick. I think being able to pick between active and passive is cool and a eq and tone, but space wise I feel like I’m trying to shove a v12 into a Miata.

In short what controls should I prioritize having other than volume.

By no means am I an expert, and please forgive me if I wrote anything incorrect, I am still figuring things out. Thank you in advance for the help and I can provide more photos if needed.

The original Razorback V had master volume, master tone and a 3-way pickup selector switch. That would be the most straightforward solution. You may find that it is adequate.
After that, I would advise you to get familiar with how controls work on other basses to get a better idea of what you want to prioritize. Often those who seek ultimate flexibility end up using a couple of useful tones and don't touch anything else.
