Electronics Upgrade Warwick Streamer LX 5 opinions

Just throwing this out there. What are your opinions on upgrading the stock 2 band pre and MEC jazz pickups on a german team built streamer lx 5? Sometimes I find that I miss a mid control on the bass or that the treble and bass controls aren't just doing enough for me. The pickups arent bad either but I'm not 100% sold on them. Whose swapped electronics out on their warwicks? Opinions and before and after impressions would be greatly appreciated. I already bought hipshot tuners so I got the light tuning issues on its way to being resolved.

I've got three brands in mind: aguilar, emg and bartolini. I only have experience with emg and bartolini and love bartolini. I'd use a matching pre and pickup combination.

Not a Streamer, but I put an Aguilar OBP3 in my Thumb 5 several years ago. I left the stock MEC pickups. From what I remember the Aguilar seemed to open up the bottom end a bit and overall tame the high end. For me it was worthwhile and I've kept it in all this time. I used to have a before and after recording, but it seems to be gone now.
