Electronix MessDrive Bass Fuzz Review

:bassist: Someone moded MessDrive.. How cool is this? It's like my imaginary son is going to college :D Nice layout alteration by the way :)

Thanks! Well, I love your products and your services - after all, you worked well with me in getting my MESSDrive in the gray finish, with Submarine-style knobs and that cool neon green LED!

Ihave to go to the hospital for a bone marrow transplant and it will be 4-8 weeks before I can come home. Once I'm back home, I think I'll be ordering a Hybrid+. I think I'll stay with that safety orange finish, but I would like to see if you could add the 1MΩ and a Blend label.

Keep up the good work - your stuff is so good and reasonably priced (heck, MORE than reasonable)! :)

Oh, I noticed this now. I hope you get well really really soon!

Thanks. And I know you mean it for my health, not just because I said I'll order the pedal! j/k

When I'm back home, I'll email you about adding the blend pot. I love the way it looks and sounds on my MESSDrive and it sounds like the Hybrid+ will be incredible, though now that I have the Blend knob in my custom modded MESSDrive, it's hard to imagine a bass fuzz sounding better... Plus, I really like the gray finish and Submarine-style knobs on mine... Speaking of the Submarine, I may just add that along with the hybrid+ to my order. Dang, you make some nice pedals for sure!!!

Just for fun, here's what I have to motivate me to return to:

the messdrive is the shiz. i just recorded this clip now. mind you i have very unprofessional recording equiptment. this is carvin XB76 into messdrive into my computers input (the program is "sound recorder")

the thing i really love about the messdrive is that it has a lot of subs, not just low-mid boomy kind of stuff. really low low subs, that make it sound so huge. you probobly cant hear this on your computer speakers unless you got a pumpin system.

anyway, in the sample i tried to show most of what it does. starts out on low gain, then high gain. i love how it sounds in the upper register, so 6 string guys should totally dig this pedal..
