I wouldn’t say it upsets me to any large degree, just given preference I would rather have the rig be symmetrical. Not that big an issue though.
I like all the ideas and I have a couple weeks till our next show so I’ll try them out. Someone commented earlier about turning down the bass for boomy rooms - totally agree. A little more context, my challenge right now is the band is very vocal centric, and the singer is trying to do much more “modern” sounding music with tight deep low end at extremely low volumes. I also use a bunch of different effects including an octave pedal for one song.... which is our quietest one lol. It’s a tough assignment and I’m trying to do whatever I can to be present and full at low volume, and still be articulate too. Most venues we play do not have PA support, especially during COVID lots of small pop up gigs.
