EMG 45 JAX? Does this exist?

Just taking a look through YouTube’s and forums, and the EMG website. I can’t seem to find the “A” version of any EMG 45 series pickups. Is this a special order? Do they do special orders?? Can’t find much info on EMGs on here, either that or I suck at forum search bars! I tried sending EMG an email a few weeks ago, but no reply.

Ideally I’m trying to find the 45 JAX for my new Spector Dimension 5 HP. The stock tone is good with the DCs. Needs a little more bite though!

Thanks in the advance of you giving me the info as I type now, back then when I typed it, to you now, in the future.

Yes. Future Thanks.

Are you sure you need 45 housing? My Schecter just needed 40s

Yea for sure! It’s what’s listed on the Spector spec sheet, because of the funky angle, they need the full width of a 6-string size pickup, which I guess means no P split unless EMG would miraculously make me one

You already know the answer: No.

You have seen the website and know EMG make J and JCS pickups in standard and and X variety. That’s four options.

To get more bite, try boosting the low mids. Really, the tonal difference between pickups is minimal when I’ve measured them. That’s why pickup manufacturers don’t post EQ curves the same way speaker manufacturers do.

For my money, keep the pickups you have a throw in a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] first in your signal chain. You can dial in and boost the mid frequency you need to give you the kind of bite you say your existing pickups and lacking AND THEN MORE!

For a cheap version, see DemonFX Harmonic Booster, but I don’t know how close it is to the original.

Huh… Why’d I ask?! Hmmm…
Guess we’ll never know.

Well, I think calling will answer that question, as per Glass’ suggestion.
I’m also not looking to add to my pedal board. Thanks anywho
What kind of preamp do you have in your bass? I recently installed a Darkglass Tone Capsule (using blend + the TC’s three pots into my bass’s four holes) and that does the same thing I was talking about. I can dial in the low and high mids the way I need in each song and sound great. If your onboard preamp isn’t working for you, then try adding a TC.

My motivation is a single coil sound, definitely sounds more pointy than humbuckers.
