EMG BQC in a Pedal?

Now THAT is the kind of suggestions I'm looking for! That is a pretty sick pedal, seems like the non-Deluxe will suit me just fine. This may knock out the MXR pedal for good...even has Q adjustment on the Empress! Thank you for the suggestion!

You're welcome, it's good to be helpful. I've got a Mk 1 V6, it's very versatile and totally transparent.

I've never used the QStrip (unfortunately), but those two sweepable mids plus the shelving bass and treble must be killer, too.

That appears to just be a sweepable mid control (unless I'm looking at the wrong pedal). I should have worded my post properly, looking for the BQC System (3-band with sweepable mids) equivalent in a pedal.

Do you need to consider electrical characteristics of the pickup signal (impedance, inductance , capacitance and what not coming out of the bass before it goes to your external "BQC Pedal" Will you be using EMG pots for the volume or will you bypass them. There is a guy in YT who put the external 3-band and 2-band StingRay preampa outside but he made sure he just went direct to the 1/4 output, Just a thought. Also doesn't the BQC have DIP switches to color the high end response . If you are going with another EQ pedal, you have take that into account. They do make a difference in how they push an amp or preamp,

Yes, very good point...my simplistic idea (again, not really knowledgeable about electronics at this level) was to wire up the EMGs to the regular stock EMG pots (Volume and "Tone") running them both full up. I'd use an external EQ pedal of some sort to shape the tone afterwards, believing it would still be basically the same signal going into a BQC with some acceptable variation.

Another great point, I forgot about the dip switches...hmm...maybe I'll need to rethink some of this stuff
