EMG BTS/BTC with Yamaha pickups?

I want to upgrade my 'cheap' active Yamaha bass guitar,are these pickups compatible with EMG HBCS,BQC or BTS/BTC
I have another bass with a MMTW pickup and wanted to use it with an out board Sadowsky preamp and my bass amp (GK MB800 doesn't like the combination) Thank for your help.

Check on Invalid Link Removed but I believe that both BTC and BTS "control" products are compatible with high impedance pickups. For what ever reason the "system" versions are not (iirc).

Edit: The "systems" have a prewired balance control,which is probably 25K ohms to be compatible with EMG's active pickups. That would be the reason they're not intended for use with passive pickups.

I'm not sure if they are or not.

If you need a BTS, I have one available for cheap. The easiest way to find out may be just to try it.
