EMG MM-5-TW in a MTD kingston 5 (single pup)

I was looking at this pickup and it would be perfect to replace the one in my mtd because it would only require swapping the parts and adding a battery holder (it comes with a prewired vol-tone with a pull selector and this bass stock has 2 pots. Has anyone played these before on such a bass? I'm also unsure if it would be wide enough given the width of the neck of this thing.
