Envelope Filter?

Innovative as far as sound and versatility. It should be in production by summer of 2013. The pedal is USA made(for those to whom it matters) and it is definitely well built and what I think will be affordable in a logical way.
From the two clips I posted with NAMM show noise in the background what do you think of the pedals sound?
Like any pedal some players will like it and some wont but I do think that it will be a very popular envelope pedal for bass players(and guitarists).
It doesn't sound like it does anything unique. The sounds coming out of that box could be had by quite a few filters already on the market. What makes it special?

With all due respect, obviously you didn't listen with attentive ears to the clips, especially clip one.
I will not tell you what makes it sound different at this point but I will suggest that maybe if you haven't, listen with headphones on,
I shouldn't have to tell any one what makes this envelope pedal sound different, their ears should be the key to hearing the difference.
And some of the sounds that comes out of this pedal is not in any envelope filter on the market at this point.
It's almost always the people that say "with all due respect" that are about to insult you. Classy as always.
The only problem is I did listen..headphones and all! It's not my ears, the pedal, using those videos as my only source of information, sounds more similar than dissimilar to a dozen other pedals. Honestly though, with the amount of filters on the market, there's really not much that hasn't been done.
But since you are the king of vague insinuations, I'll throw my thoughts out there on what I see on the pedal in the video:
-You've got 5 knobs and a switch. Unless one of those knobs is "print money", they are probably pretty standard controls with an up/down switch
-You've got 3 jacks on the top: Input, output, and most likely an expression pedal input.
So what makes this special? You spent time with it, what does it do that others don't?
To be fair it's quite difficult to pick much out on those videos - can't really hear any bass and there's a lot of background noise.

Well of course there is a similarity, if there wasn't it wouldn't fall in the envelope filter catorgory.
Can you give me a few examples of what hasn't been done in regards to envelope filters?
What are standard controls on a envelope filter to and for you?

I agree but with experienced ears some should be able to make something out of it.
Shifting the subject a little, but...
A friend of mine is wanting to get that Mooer Funky Monkey filter. Part of the attraction is the size and part of it the price. The demo video is awful and makes it sound like a bad phaser.
Has anyone here used one?
Generally I like Mooer stuff and their Bassballs clone sounds pretty good but I can't get behind the FM and that may be due to their lousy attempt at a demo.

I think most people who are experienced at listening learn not to trust their ears too much, too soon - they are the most deceitful of the senses!
It sounded to me like it was maybe only being triggered by / effecting the higher notes ..? (which is something I often set up my effects to do) But hard to tell without hearing the bass!

I agree and this is a situation where willsellout's ear may be deceiving him but then again it may just be to much background noise that's throwing him off.
The thumps sounded like thumps while the upper tones sounded envelopish. Also the snaps were clear so thre is a frequency thing going on. but if Im wrong Im wrong. It is youtube and I did hear something to that effect. I did like it as it did sound good. I hope it becomes available in stores to try rather than order and hope you like it. But I did like what I heard. Are you a consultant to it (jauqo)?

Aspects of what you heard are definitely there and part of that is how I had it set and how I was playing the bass.
Your response is proof that every one hears something different and that is how it should be.
And yes it will be available in stores.

But you should go with MXR, i don't have any pedals yet but I'll build my
pedalboard soon, and I've been looking around and i noticed
the MXR are trying to look at bass player's desires.
Other company's do a lot stuff to guitar player's and then they say
you can use that with bass too, works fine.This not fair.
This is why my vote go to MXR, and they have really nice stuff for bass player's
Source audio env. filters are good stuff too.
