Enzo - Future impact

I hit the search option and read a lot about how ppl love or hate each pedal individually ...

I own the Enzo, and love messing around with it , but never used it with a band yet !! Logistically seems difficult ...


Who here owns or owned both and would like to elaborate on the differences ...

I’m trying to get to a decision ... should I switch to a future impact?

Give me your thoughts ..

You need to answer one question which will help us answer your question: What is your desired outcome?

To help you answer that question, consider these things:
- What is your ultimate use case? Single sound or ability to leverage many sounds?
-- If changing sounds, what is the use case around that? Each song would get a sound or you'll need to be able to easily toggle things on the fly while playing?
- What are your requirements for tweaking sounds?
- How do you plan to control the pedal?

There are pages and pages of threads about both pedals and many people have owned both. As you point out some love the same pedal that others hate, the question is why do those who love it or hate it feel that way and which angle are you coming at a synth pedal from.

How much tweaking on a PC editor can you stand? This is the big one for me, because it's zero. Editing in the FI (beyond any of the downloadable sounds) takes time. There is however a great user database to choose from.

Can you get all of the Enzo sounds on the FI? No. The filters in Enzo are really good, FI are limited, and only okay. Much like comparing an Arturia and a Moog, the oscillators have some differences as well. Yes, the FI goes far deeper. Don't expect the FI to do pitch shifting anywhere as well as Enzo does.

Tracking is similar, though the FI does have specific settings that are more latent, like the Enzo's modes in Poly and ARP can be odd.

The fx in the FI are mediocre, while in the Enzo could live on their own.

Just getting more and more confused ... lol


I really fell in love with all the options the Enzo gives beyond the Synth ...

It’s funny , cause when I recurved the Enzo I decided to sell the Bananana Matryoshka... but after 2 weeks of tweaking with the Enzo I decided to A/B the two and realised that they are completely different pedals , although they answer to the same category- Synth ... decided to keep both !! Lol

I have the feeling if i buy the FI before selling the Enzo ... i’ll End up keeping 3 synth pedals ..

I had the bananana and after getting the FI I realized there was really only the arpegiated stuff that the FI doesnt do so I sold the bananana. I come to find out the next version of FI software will have an arpegiator. I like that I dont have to twost knovs to change between sounds on the FI. Presets make the difference for me.
