Epi Pro 5'er

I know it doesn't exactly say whether or not they'll honor it, but I pulled this from their help section:

"With respect to items sold by Amazon.com, we can't confirm the price of an item until you order; however, we do NOT charge your credit card until after your order has entered the shipping process. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

This policy applies only to products sold and shipped by Amazon.com. Sellers may follow different policies in the event of a mispriced item."

Got charged $55.80 on my bank account.. Hope this will go through! :)

I think that is like a credit card, when say you check into a hotel. They "reserve" or tie up a certain amount of credit (or cash from your account) without actually taking it yet, so that it is definitely there for when they do ship. So it may look like your money is not there, but most likely it is still there in limbo, or in escrow, pending.

I read this thread

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/new-epiphone-thunderbird-pro-v-504684/index19.html

Lots of problems, some fixed, some not. QC seems fairly bad. Probably really only worth $59 bucks ! We would have to do work to make it a pro bass... but again we have 0 chance of getting this. Maybe other vendors have fulfilled deals like this but Music123 isn't going to let amazons pricing error be their problem. You can't blame Music123 for Amazons mistake so they won't feel like they are creating ill will for scraping the deal

Oh well. Goodnight my pretties, dream for just tonight about your new bass & wake up 2morrow remembering its Monday, work sucks & your not getting your bass!

I feel more confident in the Bruins winning the cup!

I always read the review info, even if it's just riddiculous wining. This time I just jumped because even if it sucks I could always return it, no harm-no foul. I missed this review in my eagerness. Just a heads up guys.

This review is from: Epiphone Thunderbird PRO-V Electric Bass Guitar, Trans Black (Electronics)

Dear Epiphone Customer,

We regret to inform you that we have discovered that a SMALL percentage of defective T-PRO(tm) pickups were installed in some of our Epiphone Thunderbird PRO-V basses (5-string ONLY). These pickups were incorrectly made and therefore, cause the low-B string (or 5th string) to have a very low output level (ie: low volume) relative to the other 4 strings. While all PRO-V basses are NOT affected, the extent of the problem dictates that we notify you of this potential defect and take immediate action to correct it.

* If you purchased an Epiphone Thunderbird PRO-V (5-string) bass and the output level of the low-B string is LOW (ie: much quieter than the other 4 strings) please contact our Customer Service department either by email or by phone as follows. Remember - please check your bass first. Not all PRO-V's are affected. PRO-IV's (4-strings) do not have this problem.

If determined to be defective, we will arrange to have your bass picked up and returned to Epiphone to have new pickup(s) installed, thoroughly tested and then returned to you promptly. When you contact Customer Service, please make sure you have your serial number available.

* Additionally, we are in the process of testing all Thunderbird PRO-V basses at our authorized Epiphone retailers worldwide to determine if they need pickup replacements. If they do, we will be either repairing them on-site or re-calling them. As a result, future purchasers of Thunderbird PRO-V basses will not experience this problem.

In closing, we sincerely apologize for this problem and the inconvenience. At Epiphone, we pride ourselves on our passionate attention to quality and our historically low return rate of less than 0.5%. In this case however, we failed to meet our own standards not to mention yours. Rest assured that we have taken aggressive and appropriate action to ensure that this will not occur in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope that you will continue to have faith in us. We have stood behind our instruments for over 135 years and we will continue to stand behind our products with an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction backed by our Epiphone Limited Lifetime Warranty and our world-famous Gibson 24/7/365 Customer Service. If you ever have a question or a concern, we're here for you.

Sincerely,
Epiphone

I checked my bank this morning and I have been charged $55 as well.

Amazon states "This portion of your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed."

Can lightening strike twice? I hope so. I really almost picked up a used 4 string for $200 at GC, but figured I could get one of craigslist for cheaper... but a Deluxe V for $55.... ALL DAY.

This is not going through... this is not going through... this is not going through

These guys are based on the West Coast & will wake up soon & realize its an error. Probably by 10am Pacific time which is closer to 1pm here.

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for
Turn out the light
Don't try to save me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right
