Just curious, why do you not use the 902, or should I ask, why do you prefer the 502 over the 902C?

Get a couple of UL112 cabs, or maybe a UL112/Ul110 combo and see what you think. I've been pretty impressed by those in the past, and if you've typically gotten by with a single 210 before, a 112/110 combo will give you a bit more low end I think....I think what I've learned from this is that I need to buy another, smaller but equally as awesome cab as the Ul310 if possible. Any suggestions? I'm considering a 112 or a 210, it has to be light and be able to handle low-B excursions, and it has to be small. The Holy Grail perhaps? Any thoughts appreciated.
my point was that the materials used is one of the biggest differences ebtween any two similarly spec'd cabs.
eden, epifani, ampeg, gallien krueger, aguilar and avatar(along with dozens of other companies) all make ported 2x10 cabinets....none of them are identical...due to different choices of materials in addition to different engineering, and design aspects.
the difference between ceramic and neo speakers has been discussed quite a bit on here, along with the different woods used in each cabinet, the radiused grill on ps cabs, the weight is a significant aprt of the difference, hence the sudden popularity of lightweight cabs(berg, epifani, avatar, amrkbass...etc etc...). the UL cabs also handle quite a bit mroe power than the ps cabs do and have different horns installed.
so there mgiht not be too much different between the ul's and the ps cabs aside from materials used and the weight, btu that is the whole point of there being a distinguishment between seperate lines of cabs within one company anyway.

Yes... somewhat, but I'll PM you to avoid a derail...Thanks Vic. I don't know if this is considered blasphemy or not in this thread, but are you familiar with Schroeder or Bergantino? I caught this link from Schroeder's site and was impressed as hell with the sound, supposedly a 112 cab. ( the playing is amazing as well).
Ok, thanks. But I don't see where neo cabs handle more power than ceramic cabs. The drivers are both rated at 400 watts. Just for the sake of comparison, I checked out the DR Bass cabs, and all their neo cabs are rated lower than their ceramic cabs. Any way, looks like I might try the " old school " Epifani.
Wow! Congrats in advance, Phil. I'll be very anxious to hear your thoughts.

For me, the price of the PS line isn't what sold me. I just really liked the more classic low mid heavy tone over the more UL line (which to me sounds more neo with more high mids, very tight and focused).

Here is my current club/jobbing rig. For louder club gigs I like the difference between the UL and PS 112,because their voiced differently it give me a nice full sound and great volume that speaks quickly. For jobbing I will just use one usually the UL because it cuts thru a band better by itself IMO than the PS but the PS Sounds better with my EUB by itself. I will probably add a UL 410 at some point, although I have a Edens 410 and a old SWR with a blown driver, GAS never ends i guess
