Epifani Quest Discontinued?

Well... I was browsing thru some stuff.. and i found out that epifani discontinued their preamp Quest II..

MF is offering Quest II for $499 shipped!!!

What a price for great preamp... might not last long...

Yah, if you can get one, get it. It's a great pre. I used the pre out on my Epi 502 into my Crown MT 1200, man it sounded great. No need for my Alembic F1-X anymore.

Heh, I should have looked there first, eh? Actually, I was there not long ago, and did not see that, which is why I thought you might have heard that from another source. Well, at any rate, I look forward to this "desk top" device that they are hopefully going to come out with!

The Quest II is a really nice sounding preamp, BTW!

Actually, I was sort of second guessing my decision to sell my previous Quest II (go figure, me not wanting to sell something! ), so this does help.

Q: it's two channel, dual input. Does that mean each input is switchable to either channel, or is only one input designed to be useda at a time? i.e. active/passive?

You can switch to either channel from either input, I believe. Though I am not sure if this works if you have something plugged into both inputs.

It certainly sounds awesome! But you do have to keep looking over your back, like you're getting away with something.
