Epifani Quest Discontinued?

Well I wish I'd had the chance to help out with those rack ears, but I ordered mine already.

This preamp sounds great to me. I put it together with the $249 Crown XLS 602 amp and my two Peavey Millenniums and a 2x10 Avatar Delta and Bh115 Neo Avatar cab. I love it...but then I've only been playing for four months and I owe a lot to TB and all the great people here for helping me get started.

I gotta stop buying stuff... ;)

btw, i was getting a little impatient w/ waiting for the 902, so pulled the trigger on the preamp just in case.

still, kinda stupid of me letting go of the Quest pre in the first place. had a feeling i'd come back to it sometime. hopefully the same wont happen w/ the UL502. :bawl:

Just got mine from Gruuv yesterday - rack ears are installed, but I won't be able to get it in the rack with the feet glued on.

In the past, I've used razor blades to either just shave some rubber off or to completely remove the feet altogether. A couple of units just needed some rubber taken off before they would fit while others required complete removal. You can mask the area to keep from scratching the finish. In the past, I've tried flat-head screwdrivers, regular utility knives, various solvents, etc, all with varying degrees of success. It you can wedge the blade between the chassis and the foot, you can usually just pull the foot off in one piece with nary a mark.
